::: MOBI-GOLF ::: Mobility for the disabled golfer
Matthew and Peter Laverty have combined their professional skills and come up with a mini-bike concept designed for people who love golf , but have difficulty in getting around the course. This device is called the Laverty Mobi-Golf, and is a great alternative to a motorised cart. The concept is simple-it is a mini-bike with a specialy designed side-car to carry your clubs and a transporter that fits snugly to get your car tow bar, allowing you to get your bike with the frame attachment to and from the golf course with ease.
The best part is the price: under $3,000.00.
Peter Laverty has an engineering business at Mullumbimby for eleven years is responsible for the design. Peter gained his expertise in design in having a decorated career for BHP Steel Works before moving on to private enterprise.
Matthew has had a colourful career as a golfer, having been a top junior golfer on the North Coast before turning professional in 1986 at the age of 16. Matthew started his professional career at Concord Golf Club under the watchful eye of the legendary Bruce Jackson and Kyle Francis. He became a fully qualified PGA golf professional at the age of 19, and was then appointed the senior professional at Concord Golf Club.
So with the ability and knowledge of Peter and Matthew, I am sure we will see more of the Laverty Mobi-Golf on our courses in the future. For further inquiries, please E-Mail us on: MobiGolf@lavertygolf.com.au
